Well kittens. Another week, another update! After a pretty crappy start to The Comeback Chronicles last week, I’m feeling back on top of things! I’m away in the countryside for a well-earned break from London life – so let’s have a catch up, shall we?
What’s been going on
I started the week with a Bank Holiday Monday and a horrific viral thing that just left me feeling completely wiped. Thankfully though things have picked up, and I just had to get through my last week at work before hopping on a train to Scotland! I have a week off before starting my new job, and so I’m now sat writing this looking out on the gorgeous surroundings of Ecocamp Glenshee, puppies at my feet and sun shining outside!
Workouts & Fitness
I was feeling sluggish at the start of the week, and so I took it fairly easy for the most part. Now I’m starting to feel much better – must be the country air! My workouts this week were the following:
- Monday: 30 minute run + abs
- Tuesday: Rest day – super sick
- Wednesday: 20 minutes cardio, 10 minute run + abs
- Thursday: 30 minutes cardio after a leaving do shot of tequila #oops
- Friday: Rest day – on a train to bonny Scotland!
- Saturday: 40 mile hilly cycle ride
- Sunday: 40 minute trail run (with a pooch)
I got two runs in this week: a treadmill session at the start of the week (in an attempt to shake off the cold), and then a 4 mile trail run in the gorgeous highlands of Scotland. The ankle was feeling good throughout, although I may be paying for it tomorrow!
Food & Nutrition
After last week’s horrific viral illness, I was feeling pretty wiped and had to eat my own body weight in food to keep going! Thankfully though, it was all gorgeous healthy food (and all vegan)!
I have a week off between jobs, and so I’m just using it to relax, unwind, and recharge my batteries. Ecocamp Glenshee is pretty much the perfect place to do that, and the weather is just perfect for it! I’m hoping I can read, run and in the words of Kendall Jennerm realise some stuff.
How’s your week been?
Lots of love,
