Motivation Monday: Why We Run

This week’s Motivation Monday comes courtesy of Bernd Heinrich and Salomon Running. Bernd is a retired Professor who lives in the forests in Maine. He’s a runner, and has dedicated his life to exploring and studying the natural world- he explains in his own words why running is so innately human, and so close to our hearts.

Honestly, I aspire to be as at peace with the world as Professor Heinrich. My favourite line: “Ideally i would like to be a bird but running is a close second.” Goals.

Why is it you run? Do you have an intense emotional connection to the sport (like I do)?

Lots of love,
